Submit Your Proven Practices for Virtualizing Oracle and Enter to Win a Mac Mini!
We are looking for the best Proven Practices for virtualizing Oracle products. From Oct 12 thru Nov 30th any Oracle Proven Practice submitted to VIOPS will be eligible to win a Mac Mini and a copy of VMware Fusion. We also have copies of VMware Fusion for the runners-up.
Who Can EnterAnyone who has implemented Oracle products on VMware virtualization infrastructure. VMware (and EMC) employees are excluded.
How to Enter
What is a Proven Practice?A Proven Practice is proven, prescriptive, and actionable guidance for implementing some aspect of VMware virtualization. By Proven, we mean guidance that has actually been implemented by someone and shown to work. A Prescriptive practice tells us how to do something in a step-by-step fashion. A Proven Practice is Actionable if it is immediately usable by anyone with similar problems. For Oracle products, we want to know how you implement them, update them, manage them, etc. Examples of two very fine Proven Practices can be found at Oracle 11g Release 1 RAC On RHEL5 Linux Using VMware ESX Server and NFS and VMware on VMware: Virtualizing Oracle e-Business ERP Application Suite.
How Will Winners be ChosenAt the close of the contest, experts from VMware’s VIOPS team and Oracle Alliance team will select the winners based on originality, applicability, depth of information, and clarity. Winners will be notified via the email ID used to register for VIOPS and posted in this community on the VIOPS site\\ h1.
